Bobby Reagan was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, but raised in P-Town Virginia. Born in 1975, he can't recall a single moment when music wasn't his form of expression. It was as a 13 year old freshman in high school when his voice was first recognized and singled out.
Bobby's journey into writing and performing music didn't actually start until he graduated from Churchland High School in 1993. It was then, on a Beach in Nags Head, NC where Bobby, as a young 17 year old... first heard that a local P-Town band named "The Shine" was auditioning singers.
Since that day in 1993, Bobby has been pursuing his musical/artistic passion relentlessly. He's performed w/ a couple of different bands and written and recorded over 100 songs. Out of Bobby's 15 year and counting musical career, his most memorable moment was his first show w/ "The Shine." They performed at the American Legion Hall in Norfolk, Va during the 93 Christmas holiday's for a "Shrimp Toast" Reunion. Bobby recalls "we opened up for a band called Wings for Icarus and it was so amazing. Even today, I'm still honored to say that I had a chance to open up for one of the greatest local bands ever."
Bobby has many influences when it comes to writing and singing music, but many people seem to think that he "sounds" like the male version of Tracy Chapman. "She's always been a huge inspiration to me, so if people place me in that category...I'm very okay with that." Some other artists that Bobby indicated influence him on a daily basis would be Paul Simon, The Polics, The Beatles, Elliot Yamin, U2, LadySmith Black Mambazo, Eddie Vedder, and Tool.
The rest of the Bobby Reagan music story is still being written, so be sure to check back for updates :0)
